For the Rocket League 10 Year Anniversary, I worked as an Environment Artist on the DFH 10 Year Anniversary Arena. This map celebrates 10 years of Rocket League, and all of the game's accomplishments over the years.
DFH is an established Rocket League map, with a lot of community love around it. Creating a variant that did not deviate from the maps identity, but also felt unique and celebratory, was a balance we had to find. The 10 Year Anniversary Statue in the arena's center was our route to accomplish this. With the aid of our concept team, I authored the statue- modeling simplified and performant Octane vehicles and a model of our RL ball at the top of plums of smoke and a gold base. (Later, this statue was used for real, 3D printed statues presented to players). Additionally, I modeled new architecture pieces that fit together with the original stadium layout, created decorative banners, gold trim, and implemented plaques showcasing the RL logos from numerous seasons throughout our 10 years.
I worked on this map alongside Adam Beckwith.
